Niantic has launched the beta in New Zealand (June 24, 2021), the Philippines (July 15, 2021), Denmark (August 11, 2021), the Netherlands (October 13, 2021), and Malaysia (March 29, 2022).

On June 29, 2022 it was leaked to the press that Transformers Heavy Metal was among four projects being killed by Niantic.
